Press: I'm happy to announce that I will be performing in a play reading of "August Osage County" at the Potomac Library at 10101 Glenolden Drive, Potomac, Md, 20854, on Saturday, April 4th, at 2 pm. Admission is free, light refreshments will be served afterwards. I'll be performing the part of the father, Beverly Weston.
The play, written by Tracy Letts, won a Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2008. It is about the dysfunctional Weston family, who reunite at their Oklahoma home after the patriarch disappears, leading to the explosive revelation of long-held secrets fueled by the pill-popping acidic matriarch, Violet. Based on the playwright's own family history, the play explores themes of addiction, family trauma, and the dark side of the American Midwest. It was adapted into a major film in 2013 starring Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
